Adventure Canada is proud to support the 17th annual Wings Over the Rockies Festival – Celebrating Mountains, Wetlands and Wildlife.
We all recognize that changes are occurring to climates and natural environments across the world. This year’s Festival will explore the extent of these changes and how birds and animals are adapting.
The Gala’s keynote speaker is the irrepressible George Sirk, (a familiar face to many AC travellers.)
George is an avid birder, naturalist and polar bear specialist from Victoria who has navigated over 15,000 miles of the Arctic Archipelago. He will share his intimate knowledge of Canada’s Arctic and the changes he has witnessed.
Join George Sirk this summer on our Heart of the Arctic voyage.
Events take place throughout the valley, from Cranbrook to Golden, but the focal point of the Wings Festival is Invermere’s historic Pynelogs Cultural Centre, situated adjacent to Kinsmen Beach on beautiful Lake Windermere.
Adventure Canada’s own Matthew James Bradley-Swan will be in attendance to present an Adventure Canada gift certificate to one lucky silent auction donor!
